Why ClickaTap

Our commitment to clean water

The ClickaTap Story

The idea for the ClickaTap service evolved from the experience of our well-established Oxfordshire plumbing business – People’s Plumbers. We noticed that a large number of our customers called us out for tap repairs and in most cases the solution was to fit new taps. A second visit was necessary then to remove the old and install the new taps.

There had to be an easier way – and ClickaTap is what we came up with. When your taps are old and inefficient, choose new ones on our website and buy them along with a booking for a free fitting. A simple but effective solution.

We decided to introduce a charitable element to the service too, so that we and our customers have the opportunity to help a cause that is very dear to our hearts – WaterAid. This UK charity is working to provide clean water and sanitation to communities in need around the world.

We support WaterAid with a monthly donation, and hope you’ll perhaps make your own donation as well.

Help WaterAid to Save Lives

We are proud to be supporting WaterAid – the UK charity dedicated to providing clean water to those whose lives depend on it.

Next time you turn on a tap, or flush the toilet, spare a thought for the 785-million people (that’s one in ten) who don’t have water on tap, and the 2-billion (one in four) who don’t have a decent toilet to use. This means the burgeoning of water-borne deadly illness and disease: diarrhoea caused by dirty water and poor toilets, for example, kills a child under 5 every two minutes.

When you use ClickaTap you are supporting WaterAid to help fund digging wells, building tap stands and sewers, and spreading hygiene education.

WaterAid is transforming lives, and we’re happy to help – you can too by making your own WaterAid donation.
